It’s literally time to start making plans for New Years (ice-cream on the couch anyone?) which means the year is just gliiiiiding on by. Here’s a little round up of the things I’ve been loving in the month of August. I was tempted to just write ‘snuggling a packet of chips in bed’ which although would be a pretty accurate description of my month, possibly wouldn’t make for an interesting post. So here’s the OTHER stuff I’ve been into…
The change of season brings more than just a change of weather. There’s a change of wardrobe, a change of routine and a change in your electricity bill, but the change I’m really excited about, is the change in menus! *the crowd roars* All across this fine city of ours, I can hear chefs muttering frustrated words whilst trying to get the balance of flavours in a new dish juuuuust right, wait staff discussing how to pronounce ‘orecciette’ and printers spluttering out that exciting new list of things for us to eat and drink!
The weather here is colder than your ex-girlfriend’s heart, so here’s a list of things I’ve been loving in the colder months. Snuggle up with an energy efficient heater and a cup of organic Matcha and enjoy!
A couple of weeks back we got down and dirty with a garage sale of our very own. I think it was quite the success really with plenty of crap out of our lives and a wad of extra dosh in our pocket. So here are a few tips and tricks to keep in mind when you’re venturing into the world of selling your shit…garage sale style.
Like a woman who threw caution to the wind with a groomsman at her sister’s wedding… I’m late. I know, I know, I really should have put my summer reading list up a month and a half ago but better late than never they say! So here’s a lil’ look at the books I hope to get my nose into this summer.
Lucky me just came back from a quick two week trip to good ol’ America and like Mary Poppins’ travel bag, we fit in an inexplicably impressive amount! Here’s a little run down of the moments I wont be forgetting any time soon.
So the holiday has unfortunately come to an end and by golly it was a goodie! On the long haul flight home we indulged in the standard holiday debrief naming our highlights (where to begin!) and lowlights (crappy tourist trap luau, I’m looking at you). We both agreed that one of the trip stand outs had to be the 4 days we spent driving around the island. Hiring a car ain’t cheap but it sure is worth it, opening up a plethora of fun places to go and things to see. Here are the best things we did whilst road trippin’.
