I wouldn’t say we’re spoilt for choice when it comes to drool-inspiring Mexican food in our city. There are undoubtedly a couple of gems dotted around the joint but I’d like to see more authentic Mexican fare injected into the throbbing vein that is the Adelaide food scene.
Like your boyfriend who says he needs some ‘time apart’, Summer is already half gone baby! So let’s make the most of the time we have left with this mighty fine weather. Here’s a little checklist I’ve put together for all the things you MUST do (you have no choice in the matter, so deal) before summer is OH-VEE-EEE-ARRRR. So get busy summering!
Ugh, don’t you hate it when a stunning Adelaide Hills winery invites you to check out their new Tasting Room and Sunday lunch? I really couldn’t think of anything more retched than driving through the scenic Adelaide Hills and it’s vibrant green paddocks, speckled with livestock and native flora. Even worse, is when everyone is so damn friendly and welcoming, stuffing you with despicably divine food and booze. Well, I had to live that nightmare a few Sunday’s ago. Ya’ll feeling sorry for me, I know.
Why has an American burger chain opened it doors in little ol’ Mt Barker, South Australia? I wouldn’t have the sliiiightest clue but that certainly didn’t stop me from making the trek out yonder for it’s first week and checking the place out. I wasn’t the only one too with a line of eager feeders almost out the door.
So the Adelaide ‘sweet spot’ is finally here. I’m talking about that time when every event that ever happens in Adelaide is rolled into 2 busy ass months. I’m excited, for sure, but I’m also just a little tired and broke at the prospect.
Playlist sorted, epic to-do list packed, pillow in the car and we were off for a sweet little getaway in this bloody fine state of ours. This time, we were off to Robe because I’d heard great things and I reeeaaally wanted to stay here which has gotta be the best Air BnB OF ALL TIME. Okay, okay maybs a slight exaggeration.
