I love me some January with the smell of ‘fresh start’ in the air. The weather’s uplifting, your energy is renewed and you feel like you CAN loose those extra 5 kg’s AND find the man of your dreams with time left over to start that pottery class you’ve always wanted to do. So let’s take a minute to send some props to January because it really does treat us with respect, like a one night stand who offers to drop you home in the morning. In an ode to this stunner of a month, here’s a little glimpse of the things I’ve been loving in Jan.
Cookbooks, self-help and some stories that will give you all the feels – these are the books I’ll be making my way through in the near future.
I’m heavy handed when it comes to New Year goals. I’m like that friend who pours you a vodka, soda, lime and the glass is over half full before they get to the soda. Soz about it! Do I need like 30 goals every year? Proooobably not. But in the first week of Jan, when possibilities feel endless, why not set your self up for some character building failure? Just kidding!
It’s literally time to start making plans for New Years (ice-cream on the couch anyone?) which means the year is just gliiiiiding on by. Here’s a little round up of the things I’ve been loving in the month of August. I was tempted to just write ‘snuggling a packet of chips in bed’ which although would be a pretty accurate description of my month, possibly wouldn’t make for an interesting post. So here’s the OTHER stuff I’ve been into…
Spring has finally sprung its ass into gear and I’m getting pretty razzed up about night walks on the beach (okay, probably more like hot chips on the beach) and unsticking the windows to feel a beautiful warm breeze through the house. #bliss
Last Thursday night I dragged my tired self ‘round to the boyfie’s place at about ten. As I waited for a break in traffic I thought “People! It’s a bloody school night, get yo’selves to bed already!”
