Shōbōsho, 17 Leigh Street, ADELAIDE.

Since it’s opening earlier this year, Shobosho has gotta be one of the most hip and happenin’ eateries in the city centre. I would have got there sooner but I made a booking online one time and then something came up and I forgot to cancel it. Dick move, I know. They called me, they emailed me, I felt like an asshole and then of course I couldn’t go there incase they recognised me. Sure, maaaaaaybe I blew this out of proportion a little but after waiting a couple of months I finally felt confident enough to head in there incognito. My friend booked under her name of course!

I’ve caught a serious case of post Bali blues and I might just need some new summer threads to get me through it. ASOS is more of a time machine that an website. You jump on to check out a few bits and pieces and next thing you know you’ve just had your 85th birthday. Well a few hours have passed at least!

Here are the top items on my current ASOS lust list. Summer is a-coming so I’m looking for light and loose little numbers that I can bung on without too much thought.

And yes, monochrome is currently my jam.

What are you currently lusting over? Summer is just around the corner and what better way to celebrate than to get a touch spendy?

Until next time… That’s what she said.

Sunny in Seminyak

Cocktails by the pool, massages on the reg and shopping up a storm, these have been my days in Seminyak so far and I can’t say I’m complain’. This trip has been a long…time…coming and I am planning on making the most of it and chillin’ out so damn hard I’m at a high risk of getting chill chafe. Oh wait, no that’s just from my thighs rubbing together in this weather. My bad.

Seminyak is a place I have heard so much about and I have to say that so far, it appears to be all it’s cracked up to be. Let me hit you with a few highlights so far.

Breakfast and brunch are a must whilst living the holiday goer lifestyle (it’s tough but someone’s gotta do it!) First day I hit up Sea Circus, which is one of the hot spots in the area. Freshly squeezed juices and a delicious array of breaky dishes. No disappointed customers here.

Next breakfast had to be Sisterfields which is like the thang over here. Avo toast was a work of art and there’s chill vibes as far as the eye can see. You really can’t say you’ve  done all there is to do in Seminyak without heading to Sisterfields.

Body works and Cool Spa have been the hit up’s so far for all things involving massage oils (well, maybe not all of the things, but some of the things!) Both were super profesh and relaxing. A one hour foot massage may sound a touch excessive but hey, I’m in Bali, so I’ll have three please.

Body Works was one of the first of it’s kind so it’s a bit of an institution. An old school set up with a beautiful courtyard and private treatment rooms surrounding it. Cool Spa is more of a mod spot and as the name suggests is pretty… damn… cool.

Shopping has been happening in a fairly moderate fashion so far however there are a shed load of great shops all around the places mentioned above. They have some pretty rad threads but be warned, they ain’t cheap.

Another popular hang spot is Motel Mexicola. Cheap tacos and on-point cocktails is about all the information I needed to check this one out. The Chicken Quesadilla was a stand out for me with suuuuper tasty meat just sopping with melted cheese. Now please be careful, due to the interesting decor you are bound to see an unhealthy number of selfie sticks. Whhhhhyyyyyy.

Last nights dinner was another highlight for my ever-expanding stomach. Barbacoa is bloody divine and serves up the… best…octopus you’ll ever eat. Hoooooly smokes, I know I’ll be reminiscing on that meal for some time to come. The place is bustlin’ and the hype is well deserved.

How can it be that after 6 full days of eating out EVERY meal I have not had one disappointing experience yet? I have no idea. Seminyak, you are turning it on.

Until next time… That’s what she said.
