I love it when my friends get married. It’s just so special to watch them make a life long commitment to their best friend and then fly off to their romantic honeymoon in the US with my make-up order in their luggage. A life of love and commitment for you, cheap make-up from the US for me. I mean who’s really getting the better deal here?!
I tried to keep my order restrained this time because #minimalism and mostly, I’m just poor AF. But here are a few little make-up bits I couldn’t wait to crack into.
NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint in Alaska – This isn’t my first time at the NARS counter. I adore most of what these guys have on offer and my favourite of all is this beautiful skin tint. I love how this is kind of halfway between a foundation and a tinted moisturiser with just enough coverage to wear to work. This product is also super blendable so it’s a breeze to apply and has a really natural finish. This is my number one base ATM.
BECCA First Light Priming Filter – I just finished the Backlight Priming Filter and absolutely loved the luminous quality it added to my skin. Suffice to say, I was geared up to get me another one on the ASAP. That was until I started hearing the hoopla surrounding Becca’s First Light Priming Filter and decided to branch out a little and give it a go. A touch too early to tell how I feel about this one but it certainly adds a bit of a natural glow and it’s also handy for adding a little extra moisture.
Anastasia Beverley Hills Brow Definer in Medium Brown – This is my first Anastasia product so I was keen to see what the quality would be like. The colour is a perfect match, which is a great start and I really like how the Definer is thicker than your regular pencil. It seems to be just a little more efficient time wise however I think it could create a slightly less natural look. I also really like how it has a spoolie on one end, which is pretty much a MUST when it comes to brow pencils.
I ended up being pretty chuffed with my little US order. I have another friend mid-honeymoon ATM and you best believe I have another order due for delivery any day now… aaaaaaand I wasn’t quite so restrained this time.
Until next time…That’s what she said.
