A trip to the US means two things: a boatload of burgers and a frenzied trip to Sephora. Considering I went a little over the top in the make-up department during our Hawaii trip earlier this year, I decided to keep it fairly (read as ‘painfully’) restrained during this Sephora sesh. I did however manage to pick up some gems which I’ve been loving since my return. Here’s a little run down of my new loot:
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium – If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 1000 times: this powder is the tits. With some major grease annihilating power and a little extra coverage, this powder is a killer product. It also never looks cakey which is a huge plus.
MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy – Okay so I really don’t need any more MAC lipsticks in my life but I spotted a MAC counter at the the airport and well, they are just so infuriatingly cheap in the US! I’m really digging a nude lip as of late so when I saw this classic 90’s beige I couldn’t resist. Lipsticks are one of my big time weaknesses!
Sephora Lotus Face Mask – I’m a sheet mask lover from way back, in fact I wrote a whole blogpost about my sheeted obsession right here. So when I saw these bad boys in the impulse purchase section I was all like ‘take me where I need to be impulse!” I particularly love moisturising sheet masks that leave my skin feeling smooth, dewy and plumped. Looking forward to testing this one out.
Origins GinZing Refreshing Face Mask – Continuing with my moisturising face mask phase – this GinZing face mask is getting some serious airtime with my favourite bloggers and vloggers so it’s gotta be good, riiight? My skin is prone to the occasional pesky dry patch and going into summer, I need all the help I can get. Do your thing GinZing!
Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick in Dream Huge – I’ve steered away from pink lip shades in the last year or two but when I saw this sophisticated mauve pink I knew it was a winner for me. The formula of this liquid lipstick is an interesting one because it has super awesome staying power but has a tacky kind of finish on the lips instead of drying down to a complete matte. I think I’m into it!
Another Sephora haul done and dusted. Now I wait for my next opportunity to pounce.

Until next time… That’s what she said.
