The (first) Sephora Haul

IMG_3338

I’m in AMERICA baby and you know what that means – munching down meals big enough to feed a small family and Sephora shopping!

It feels like I’ve been waiting a lifetime to fill my next black and white striped bag with beauty treasures and yesterday (5 hours off the plane) the blessed time came! *praise hands*

So I thought I would go through with ya’ll what I picked up so far because we all know I’ll be hitting up that makeup mecca at least a few more times before I touch back down in Aus.

Benefit Cheekathon. I looooove me some Benefit, particularly their blushes so I was super stoked to get my hands on their new blush kit! Cheekathon has five, yes that’s right, FIVE blushes including Rockateur, Dallas, Coralista, Dandelion and their famous bronzer Hoola. I’ve never tested Dallas or Rockateur so I’m looking forward to seeing how they go! Each of the products are full size and it only set me back 58 US bucks so that’s a saving of at least 1 meal at The Cheesecake Factory. What a barg!

Nars Blush in Sin. Like I need more blushes after that cheek kit right? Well, I’m a sucker for a rocking rouge and this one has been on my hit list for a while now. Sin is a stunning berry tone blush with a touch of golden shimmer. A great one for when you’re tired of the ol’ classic pink/peach cheek sheen. Here’s hoping it’s not too deep for my porcelain complexion!

Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Damned. I thoroughly enjoy my Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Lodhi but I find it doesn’t last long on the lips. When I saw Vivianna Does Makeup absolutely owning this vampy lip shade I was pretty keen on doing the same and I’m interested to see how long lasting this formula is.

Becca Backlight Priming Filter. Apparently glowing skin is where it’s at so I often spend my days guzzling down H2-oh in order to ‘get the glow’. I’m hoping this product will help bump up the sheen!

Bumble and Bumble Pret-a-powder. I’ve been smashing through my Batiste Dry Shampoo like it’s going out of stock. It’s certainly does the trick however I’m not loving the white powder residue I have to vigorously brush out after applying. Beauty bloggers are telling me this Bumble and Bumble gem does all the good stuff without the talcum powder effect so lets hope they’re right!

I also picked up a sample of the Origins GinZing Energy-boosting moisturiser and if I like it’s performance I have a feeling I’ll be back for the full size.

Any other Sephora recommendations would be much appreciated!

Until next time… Aloha!
